HIX opened its door to critical acclaim on October 3rd 2009 on the site that was formerly Aaya.

The ground floor restaurant called HIX seats around 80 diners and serves Mark’s signature British food with a wide selection of meat and fish dishes. The basement bar, Mark's, which has a clubby-type feel, has a more informal feel, serving small British dishes and cocktails by Nick Strangeway.

Mark has collaborated with artists including Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas and Tim Noble & Sue Webster who have created exclusive pieces for the restaurant and bar.

Hix says, ‘It was always my plan to open a west-end site, and while the site will have a different menu and feel to the Oyster & Chop House in Smithfield it will be British and will continue to support many of our great British producers that we have forged great relationships with over the years’.

HIX in Soho have now introduced a new set menu to pre and post theatre diners in the West End. Using the best British seasonal food, the menus change daily and will be available Monday to Saturday between 4.30 and 6.30pm and after 10.30pm. To book online visit the reservations page.
